3/13 Cultural Awareness –
A Modern Day Asia: A Darker Perspective
There are a number of struggles Asian Americans face in the modern day and age. From racism to job insecurity, to being coveted as the “model minority”, we face such issues on a day to day basis. But, take a moment to think about Asian struggles on a more global issue. In our native lands, people still suffer from modern-day slavery, discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation, a constant threat of war, etc. As brothers of Kappa Pi Beta, we felt that it was time to shed some light at the atrocities going on in an effort to provide a new perspective and raise awareness. Come and watch a documentary with us that tackles these less discussed issues and voice your opinions about Asian awareness in an open discussion.
